Is Shine Armor The Great Product Reviews Make It Out To Be?

Today I’m doing an important product review for Shine Armor Fortify Quick Coat. I have been getting tons of questions related to how this product works recently. “Is Shine Armor safe for your car?”, “How long does Shine Armor last?”, “Does Shine Armor remove oxidation?”, “Is it easy to apply and easy to use?” and more. This ceramic spray has been on my radar for quite a while, and although there are many reviews about Shine Armor out there, now it’s time for me to post my full honest opinion about this ceramic spray and answer these questions once and for all.

If you’re reading this page, you’ve probably seen quite a share of Shine Armor’s ads on Facebook or Instagram. They are a large company who spends a lot of money on social media advertising for their products. With such a giant marketing campaign, you’d expect their ceramic coat spray to perform at the top of the rankings, right? Well, in this honest review I’ll tackle the pros and cons of using Shine Armor Fortify Quick Coat for the first time, and you might be surprised to see the results and what I have to say after testing the product.

Is The Shine Armor Formula Any Good?

Before diving into my review about Shine Armor, if you’ve also read my other reviews, you may know that silicon dioxide (also known as SiO2) is the active ingredient that makes a ceramic spray protect your vehicle’s surface. Without SiO2, a “ceramic spray” is just some juice in a bottle that will agitate your paint and other surfaces.

Unfortunately, I found that Shine Armor Fortify Quick Coat contains less than 2% SiO2. This is extremely weak compared to other Ceramic Spray competitors. For example, Nexgen Ceramic Spray contains 13% SiO2, which explains why it’s a better paint sealant and much more effective at repelling water and contaminants than Shine Armor. In addition, I found that NexGen’s water-repelling action lasted more than 2 months on my car, while Shine Armor lasted less than 10 days before I needed to reapply a brand new coat.

Because of the disappointingly low SiO2 volume, I had to rank Shine Armor with only a 5/10 for product strength and 6/10 for product longevity.

Shine Armor’s Great Deception…

Here’s where we get into the real dirt. Shine Armor’s marketing campaign and sponsored reviews makes it seem like you can use their formula to clean, wax, and protect your vehicle all at once. Well, if you know anything about detailing, you know that that’s a big fat lie!

If you have dirt sitting on the surface of your paint, then apply a liquid and wipe it in with a microfiber towel without giving it a proper wash before, what’s going to happen? You’re going to seriously scratch up your surface. That’s the exact OPPOSITE of what a ceramic coating advertised as the “best product” out there is supposed to do. Unfortunately, many people believe the hype, and the end up scratching their surface with Shine Armor.

Instead, I recommend that you make sure to clean your vehicle well, and perform a full clay-bar detail before applying any ceramic spray product. This is the best way to prepare your car’s surface for a ceramic coating, and ensure maximum protection from any ceramic product.

I really wish Shine Armor advertised their product truthfully, and that would save thousands of people from damaging their cars upon reading “excellent” reviews and unreal 5 stars comments. Instead they choose to mislead customers and pretend to be an “all-in-one” miracle spray. I don’t often get angry, but I can’t stand dishonest advertisers at all!

How is Shine Armor’s Customer Service?

Despite all the problems with Shine Armor so far, my disappointment doesn’t end there.

I always like to test detailing companies’ customer service because for me it feels like it’s an important part of the product experience.

So I called Shine Armor’s customer service phone number and stated I had a problem with the product. I got put on hold… and waited over 20 minutes before getting connected to a real person! This is totally unacceptable in my opinion, and just goes to show that Shine Armor really doesn’t care about the customers they’re selling to.

Final Thoughts on My Shine Armor Review

With a lackluster formula, deceptive marketing tactics which includes sponsored reviews and fake testimonials, and poor customer service, I would advise you to stay away from Shine Armor Fortify Quick Coat. I cannot even recommend you to give it a try and see for yourself. To be fair, I have only tested this one product and haven’t tried the rest.
